Love Is the New Currency

Created by Nabil Hayari in collaboration with photographer Karen Bystedt, this sculptural strapless gown transforms Andy Warhol’s portrait into a striking reflection on art, value and desire.

Its fitted mermaid silhouette is covered with graphic LOVE banknotes, while the asymmetrical corseted bodice becomes a three-dimensional collage of Andy’s face, fragmented crowns and vivid references to Pop Art. Raw-edged appliqués contrast with the precision of the elongated silhouette, giving the gown its singular couture tension.

Provocative yet glamorous, the piece replaces money with love as the ultimate symbol of value—a powerful statement from the Drama chapter of Hayari Paris’ Floral Chic and Drama collection.
